Scott was baptized several months ago.

I see a lot of changes in him that are simply amazing. I know at one time he was very anti-religion.

When his dad was dying, Scott prayed the entire drive to Iowa that he’d get to see him before he died, but he passed away before Scott & Molly made it. I think that was the deal-breaker. From that point forward, God was Scott’s enemy.

He was very antagonistic about church, making snide remarks. Molly even made the comment when they moved in that she’d need to let the Bishop know not to have the Deacons collect fast offerings as Scott hated “church tuition” as he called it.

And then one day, we hear that he’s taking the discussions. We were blown away. Somehow, the Holy Ghost had touched his heart in just the right way that he allowed himself to be taught.

Elder Pace, from Evanston, WY, ended up baptizing him. It was an awesome day.

Today in Sunday School, Scott was asked to give the closing prayer. He apologized up front saying that it probably would not be a very good one. I’ve heard him give several prayers and they have been very good. I’d like to see him get more comfortable with himself. I’d really love to be able to help him if I could…

Perhaps that’s something I need to pray about…
