St. Louis was a blast! The band competition was awesome. Torrie did great and all the bands were wonderful.
After Torrie performed the kids and I went to the St Louis Arch and looked around. We would have gone up, but the line was ginormous. Instead we walked around the grounds and played in the Mississippi river.
Blue Springs ended up coming in 3rd in class. They also made finals Finally after finals performances ended, around 11:30, Blue Springs placed 11th of the 14 finalists, and 50 overall bands. Rumor is there was a tempo tear’ whatever that was, that caused such a poor score.
Either way, they did awesome.
Sunday we went to Six Flags. While they had some great rides, we were all disappointed, overall. The park was smaller than Worlds of Fun and not as clean. We were glad we did not pay for the park. Torrie and I especially liked Mr Freeze. Very cool!
It was a great trip and one I’m glad we took as a family. I wish we could take more like this.
