We were at the awards ceremony for the Golden Regiment band last night where Torrie received her first letter. Yeah!
In the middle of the ceremony a call came in. Turns out it was an invite for the GR to participate at the Tournament of Roses Parade in January, 2009. HOLY COW!!!
I wish my first thought could have been about how cool it was, or how excited I was for Torrie to have such a great opportunity. Unfortunately my first thought…my very first thought…was “how do I pay for it?”
I hate that this is always my first thought. I hate it with a passion. I’m so frustrated with our financial situation and that I don’t see it getting better soon.
I wish I had a solution.
I wish my first thoughts were positive, instead of negative.
