I was thinking tonight, as I took a break from my second job at Pizza Hut, that I’ve worked some really odd jobs. As a retrospective, I decided to see if I could compile a list.

| Rocky Mountain News – I started delivering newspapers on my 13th birthday. I did so for 3 years. | MONEY! Pretty good money for a 13 year old kid. I made $2 for a regular subscriber + tips! | COLLECTING. I HATED collecting. |
| Arby’s – I started at Arby’s when I turned 16. I ended up working there for roughly 2 years as a crew member. | I love their food and met some good friends. | $3.35/hour. |
| Round the Corner – Rob got fired from Arby’s and in a show of support, I quit. Stupid! I worked as a bus boy/dishwasher for a VERY short period of time. | I sure appreciated Arby’s after this job! | I got screwed on my pay. They payed extra if you did not miss a shift. They scheduled me a day I could not work, and even though I let them know, they penalized me. |
| Denver post – I helped JD across the street with his DP route and then helped Dad with his. Then I substitued for just about anyone that needed it. | Substituting paid lots of money! | I hate newspapers and I hate early morning routes! |
| Arby’s – Manager this time. $6/hour and more power! | Met even more great people and got to manage with Rob. Got married while working here. | Politics |
| KFC – Rob had gone to work at KFC so I went there too. | Met even more great people. This was the funnest food job I ever had. Torrie was born while I worked there. | Didn’t earn enough to support Tassie & Torrie. |
| NW transport – Our home teacher Darrin Davis asked if there was anything he could do for us. I joked “know anyne that is hiring?” He came back a few days later stating that his employer was hiring. I got the job and loved it. | $12 hour!! (almost 3 times what KFC paid) Worked with a lot of LDS people and made some friends we still talk with today, the Chamot’s. Jon was born when I worked here. | Nights & weekends. At one point I worked 9-12-10-9. |
| Feller Aquarium Supply – I drove the big truck around to aquarium stores and sold them decorative rock out of the back of it. | The kids loved the pretty rocks. | I hated the whole thing. |
| McDonald’s – Worked for Mary Lou and learned the McD’s ropes. | Got some good supervisory experience. | It was McDonald’s |
| Sprint | My first “real” job in a corporate environment. Vacations, health care, friends, experience, fun. Elizabeth and Allie were born. | Constant threats of layoff and politics galore. |
